All 55w options will use aftermarket GTR Lighting Premium Ballasts.

Quite simply the best performing headlight available for your 6024 / 7" round halogen headlamp. This Lighting upgrade will provide you with over two times the amount of light your current 6024 / 7" round sealed beam headlights produce and is completely street legal and DOT compliant. Each Kit includes two 6024 / 7" round Bi-xenon headlamp units that easily replace your existing OEM 6024 / 7" round headlamps.

 These headlights use your existing vehicle wiring connections and will not require you to modify your stock 6024 / 7" round wiring.  In addition, this product will upgrade your 6024 / 7" round reflector headlight to an HID projector technology.  This allows for a tighter beam pattern and sharper cut-off. The same projector module is tooled into multiple applications and is tested for SAE and DOT compliancy before and after final tooling.  This product will upgrade your 6024 / 7" round headlight to bi-xenon.

You will have high and low beam Xenon HID Headlamps.  An ideal upgrdae for any vehicle using a 7" round or 6024 headlight.  This is very popular for Hummer H1 and Hummer H2 headlight upgrades.
 
The HID components used in this system are made by Philips.

This Kit replaces H6054 Headlights measuring:  7.00" ROUND

 

The XP6024 Headlight Kit includes the following components for easy installation:

  • 2 Projector Low/High Beam light assemblies, 2 control ballasts, 2 HID light sources with ignitors, all wiring, wiring diagram and mounting instructions for the HID light sources.  Unlike 'retrofit' or 'adapter' packages that replace some elements of an existing headlamp system, the HID Headlight Kit includes all components except for headlight mounting brackets that are installed on the vehicle.

 

  • High Intensity Discharge (HID) is a type of lighting technology that replaces the filament of the light bulb with a capsule of gas. Xenon is the most common gas used in automotive HID systems. When high voltage is applied, the Xenon gas is ignited to produce an arc of light. The amount of light produced is greater than a standard halogen bulb while consuming less power and more closely approximating the color temperature of natural daylight. On the road, Xenon HID headlights appear as a bright white with a light blue tint.

 

  • HID lighting has several advantages over conventional lighting systems:  

o    300% more light output with approximately 50% lower power consumption (3.3A vs. 5.5A). A 35 Watt HID light source produces up to 3x's the lumens at the light source when compared to a 55 Watt halogen bulb (3200 Lumens vs. 700 Lumens).

o    Whiter light. The color temperature of HID lighting more closely approximates the color temperature of natural daylight than does a halogen system, which appears yellowish.

 

  • In some circumstances, minor modifications to the headlight holder or "bucket" may be required to accommodate the ballast cable.  It may be necessary to enlarge a hole, allowing the HID housing, bulb cable connector and wiring to pass through the rear exterior of the headlamp compartment. The ballast cable is 12" in length to facilitate mounting the ballast in a dry location. A separate wiring harness is supplied as the existing vehicle wiring is not designed to support the initial 30 second start-up current required for an HID ballast.
